Meet Rocio Rivera of LifestyleOverload by Rocio in Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rocio Rivera.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I’m a Lifestyle and Foodie blogger and content creator behind and in front of Lifestyleoverload by Rocio. The back story to how I started my blog, I originally started goal-digger obsessed blog last December on my birthday, I knew I wanted to blog and join the blogging community so what better time than on my birthday. A few months later with a much more clear and solid idea of why and what I was gonna blog about I changed the name of my blog to Lifestyle Overload I wanted to communicate and share my lifestyle and also connect with other bloggers in Houston as well as nationwide bloggers.

In the process of figuring out the platform for my blog, I also created a podcast which also had a name change to LifestyleOverload on Anchor FM. The best thing I have ever done at over 40 years young, I have met so many beautiful souls through this community and blog. I have built real and meaningful friendships and relationships with bloggers and companies I have collaborated with and my blog isn’t a year old yet. Looking forward to see what’s in store for Lifestyle Overload.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’m a strong believer that anything in life worth having doesn’t comes easy, on the contrary it takes time, effort and hard work. I started my blog without prior experience and just know that I’m not a professional writer but I love to share my experiences and lifestyle.

Social Media is forever changing and evolving like algorithms, SEO tinkering, graphics, creating, conversion optimization, mailing lists some of these challenges sure take away from the passion. My recommendation is make friends with people who have done it.

Please tell us about LifestyleOverload by Rocio.
Lifestyle Overload Blog went live December 4, 2018 I have published and promoted my content but in the blogger world this blog hasn’t officially launched. I am grateful that I get invited to Blogger events and tastings.

The blog focuses on Lifestyle and Food as well as Instagramable spots and Events in the city of Houston. I can hardly believe other long time Bloggers acknowledge and recognize me at events, honestly we are all rooting for each other.

What sets me apart from other bloggers would definitely have to be my personal style and age, it’s easier to follow trends when you are younger and the trends are geared towards that demographic. I’m definitely breaking the rules and helping to close the gap in our blogger community for women that are no longer in their 20s and 30s.
