Today we’d like to introduce you to Vanessa Arbaiza.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Vanessa. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up, I was always the person to have my phone ready to capture any moment. Photography was always a hobby but it wasn’t something I was truly passionate about until about two years ago. It all begins with my first rescue Izzy. Capturing her daily life alongside my three other dogs made my days. In my spare time, I would go to the shelter and photograph dogs and cats to help find them homes! As I gained more knowledge and practice, I saw this passion for photography grow. I shared with those closest to me about wanting to get into pet photography and everyone was so supportive. I decided to take a leap of faith and go for it. I have met some amazing photographers and have found that photography is a talent of mine!
Has it been a smooth road?
At first, I debated starting this business as I didn’t know much and worried about if my work was good enough. I worried about not being successful but I have such supportive people around me and am just in the beginning stages of growth and I’m so excited to see where this takes me!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Dogtography By Nes / Magic Of Us Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I am the owner of Dogtography by Nes and I am a pet photographer. I love being able to capture the uniqueness and how beautiful animals are. I strive to deliver precious moments that dog lovers will cherish forever! My passion for photography has expanded beyond animals and I have started to capture humans too. I am the owner of Magic of us photography. I like to think photographers have true talent but we couldn’t do it without our clients and them allowing us to capture their beautiful stories. Together we create magic.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I see myself growing and establishing lifelong relationships with my clients! I hope to inspire others to follow their dreams even if they’re afraid. Anything you are thinking about doing just go for it.
