Meet Sebastian Abraham of Patagonia Grill & Cafe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sebastian Abraham.

Sebastian immigrated from the beautiful city of San Carlos de Bariloche located in the heart of Patagonia, Argentina, jewel of South America where he learned the art of cooking wild game meat he hunted. When he moved to the US he was professionally involved in the advertising environment working for renowned Hispanic TV and Radio Stations like Liberman Broadcasting, Lotus Communications, Azteca America and MundoFox, but Sebastian’s enthusiasm geared to his true love and passion of cooking for family and friends. Sebastian’s BBQs where he grilled authentic Argentinian Asados and where he looked up to fellow country man and neighbor Francis Mallman, where key factors in prompting him to open up his first steakhouse restaurant in Houston where he knew the demographic was perfect for his passion. At the end of 2014, his dream finally came to reality when Patagonia Grill opened its doors. He introduced the Grilled Entraña with chimichurri and short ribs the Argentinian way, now a dish currently very popular all over Houston.

Has it been a smooth road?
I am absolutely grateful to my neighbors, Memorial and Spring Branch people.

Nothing would have been possible without the blessing of every and each one of them.

The idea of supporting local business and always being there to try a new dish or a new boutique wine, helped Patagonia Grill to be the one and only Argentinian restaurant in the area to serve top quality food, from outside skirt, prime rib or wild game to the flavored desserts.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Patagonia Grill & Cafe story. Tell us more about the business.
Patagonia Grill is an Argentinian steak house specialized in prime top meat and unique Argentinians gourmet cuisine.

We are known for our Argentinian BBQ’s and unique meat cuts. Also for the extensive selection of boutique wines.

I am really proud of the real Argentinian flavors you can find in every dish we serve.

The quality and flavors as well as our unique recipes set us apart for every other south American restaurant.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
5 to 10 years people will be looking more and more for unique restaurants instead of chains.
