Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Sanchez.
Monica, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I became a licensed Esthetician about 16 years ago and learned how to Spray Tan 12 years ago. I fell in love with it. I love the way it makes people feel once they get their Radiant Glow on. Then about five years ago, I got pregnant with my five baby(bonus baby) as I lovingly refer to him and decided to close up my little shop that I was doing all things skincare and go exclusively to Mobile Spray Tanning.
Now I am a full-time Mobile Spray Tan Artist doing anywhere from 5 to 25 Spray Tans a week all while having time to see and spend quality time with all my kids except the one that is in her 1st year in College. I truly love what I do and have such a passion for it that it does not even feel like work at all. I get to meet fabulous people, see beautiful homes and travel all over the world vicariously through them. I strive to be the best in my field so I am always learning and keeping up with the best and healthiest products that are on the market. I am so grateful to all my clients that have supported me along the way and I am eager to meet all my new clients to come. As I say, I am here to help my clients feel Radiant from inside and out. True beauty comes from within and I just enhance the beauty that everyone already has. I am helping Htx stay Radiant all year round one Spray Tan at a time.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been great honestly. As my life has changed so has my business. Would I like to busier at times? Sure! There really are seasons to Spray Tanning though, so in the slower months, I do other things to keep myself busy. I constantly desire to be a regular at my gym so during slower times, I do just that. As well as get involved in ladies Bible Study. I am always working towards being physically, spiritually and mentally balanced. With raising five kids, it’s a hard thing to come by for sure.
Always Radiant Tanning – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business has one purpose and that’s to give my clients a Radiant Glow to enhance the beauty that is already there. I am best known for my excellent customer service and attention to detail. New clients tell me all the time that they never had a Spray Tan so detailed. I am very proud of this as I strive to give the very best every time and to every client. I am different from the rest for perhaps a couple of reasons. I work later hours to cater to busy Moms that like getting their Spray Tans after the kiddos are asleep, I’m detailed and I make people feel very comfortable in the most vulnerable state. I am also always learning. In fact by 2020, I will be certified in Contouring. This will be an add on to my regular Spray Tanning. I can’t wait!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I believe success is a personal thing. To me success is simply having happy clients that call me back again for another Spray tan. Success is finding balance between home life and my business. Success is finding joy in everyday life. Seeing beauty all around me.
Truly not every client in Memorial and surrounding areas will love me and what I do. I learned along time ago that you can’t please everyone and to accept that and move on. I just do my best and that’s all I can do.
A day of success to me is making someone smile, helping someone feel better about themselves and the hearing the laughter of my children.
I am always trying to stay Radiant from the inside out and encourage others to do the same.
