Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Smith.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tyler. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started off in college working on Beto for Texas Campaign as a student lead. Working on this campaign showed me that a lot of candidates need help when it comes to getting millennials out to vote. Me and my business partner saw a need and learned how we could do something we loved which was work in politics and have a successful career and helping great candidates that’s running for office reach young millennials like me.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Some of my biggest struggles so far is being trusted due to being so young. At only the age of 20, the majority of this field is 30 years and up so with me being so young a lot of people second guess my work ethic and skill.
Please tell us about Smith & Jones Consulting.
My company works on political consulting, we work with candidates running for office in Houston and Los Angeles with everything you could need for a campaign, such as website and marketing tools, GOTV, millennial voter turnout, minority voter turnout, fundraising, and many more.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I could start over, I would create an even bigger network to help me with gaining more clients.
