Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevian Wilson.
Kevian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
When I was in my preteens around 13, 14 years old, I always liked to look at the different beauty and fashion trends going on at the moment and tried to incorporate these trends into my daily style. I loved to look through magazines and see what the new crave was in beauty and seeing new fashion trends that people would be talking about. Fast forward a couple of years later when I turned 16 I thought to myself it would be pretty cool to create a platform where I could share what trends I like at the moment and beauty tips that I think are creative. That’s when I got the idea to start a beauty and lifestyle blog. I started planning my blog last year and I didn’t launch it until this year March 4th. At first, it was a fun activity to do and share different content that I write with friends, then I started to notice more people were reading my blog and actually liked the different beauty and fashion tips I would post.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve definitely have had some struggles starting this blog because it’s hard to write and juggle school at the same time, I’m in my senior year so it’s important for me to finish off this school year strong.
We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
What sets this website apart from others is I write content that I feel younger people can relate to such as the importance of school and different beauty and fashion tips that millennial can experiment with, what I’m most proud of with my blog is seeing that it’s connecting to all types of people and I got my blog exactly into the space I wanted it to be.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Houston is a great place to start out I would definitely recommend people to start their businesses out here because there is so many connections and networks that could help boost your business and help get it the recognition it deserves
