Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiana Watson.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It hasn’t even been a year since Tending 2 U has been up and running. This company started because I was thinking about what the service industry was missing and how I and other people I knew working within it could make it better. I wondered how I could take my work ethic and share that with everyone. Then it hit me, and at that moment Tending 2 U was created. I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I moved to Houston 11 years ago And became well acquainted with the service industry almost immediately after I moved out here. I started as a server at one of the highest volume restaurants in the city. Soon after, I was promoted to bartender, later to event coordinator for the company. Working in this industry for so many years has given me the tools to cultivate the entrepreneurial traits I possess today.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
So far yes, it has been a relatively smooth road for us. There have been some challenges adapting and learning the ins and outs to this business. The learning curve is swift. But these are challenges that me and my team welcome. They help you grow.

Tending 2 U is a mobile Bartender and Waitstaff service. We specialize in our bartending services and provide the highest quality of staff and service for events. Our staff is skilled at making custom cocktails and providing exceptional service. I am most proud of making a memorable experience for the client and their guests. There is no better feeling than being part of the creation of a special moment. We add to that, and that’s surreal to me.
What were you like growing up?
I am and always have been a person who was in touch with my sense of humor, down to earth and determined to learn. I was always the person to bring light into anyone’s day. Growing up and to this day, I love music! When I was a child, I was always watching music videos and dancing in the mirror. In high school, I studied music as well as was in the choir. To this day, music gets me through my day or any situation. To make a long story short growing up for me was fun, inspiring, and full of experiences that made me who I am today.
