I started my interest in makeup back in 2015, I knew little to nothing about it. I was intrigued by how people could transform a person with just foundation and eyeshadow. I started to buy and play with makeup on my own, and from there, I knew it was something that I would enjoy as well perfect and master it.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
What has been most difficult for me is staying confident that I could succeed in this industry. There are so many great artists out there now and days and you really have to set yourself apart from others and stand out. I have no doubt now of my art and what I do and I think that as long as you stay true to what you do, who you are and stay humble I think that that will definitely get you far.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Gaby’s Glamour – what should we know?
I’m most proud of my growth from when I started to where I am now. I’ve also met and worked with so many amazing and talented people throughout my journey, people who have inspired me as well. I like to believe that what I do is an art and being able to make people feel empowered and fearless when they look into the mirror is the most rewarding part of it all to me.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I think that it’s essential to always stay true to yourself and who you are as well as always being humble.
