Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara and Tonya Williams.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tiara and Tonya. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
We started our business in 2012 as Star Status Images and changed the name in 2017 to Star Status Events and Photography. This company is a mother and daughter duo, were we both play a huge role in the company. The mother handle the events and the amazing sweet treats. The daughter does the photography and graphics in the company. Even though we both have our different parts in the company we have our hands in the whole company, supporting each other. Our late Grandmother/ great- grandmother always told us we have too much talent to sit on it. A year after she passed, we decided to step out on faith and make it happen. Our creative mind always had us decorating/planning events or capturing memories with pictures before we decided to make a business. December 2008, Tiara the photographer took pictures of her best friend for maternity pictures on a Fuji digital camera.
June 2011, our first big event was Tonya the event planner 40th birthday celebration and then her middle child Sweet 16. After those to events, 2012 we started to get more inquiries about decorating events. February 2013, Tiara was asked to take some maternity pictures of a high school friend. I wasn’t too certain I can make it happen and not too confident of my work. Well, after February 2013, thanks to Shamecka B. the photography business started to blossom for us. September 2013, Tonya had another vision to bring more creativity to the events by having chocolate covered treats. Since we started, we have definitely seen our growth and will continue to become better as business owners. Thanks to our family and friends who have trusted us with everything we have thought about bringing to our business, we had some doubts. We will continue to walk by faith and holding on to God’s unchanging hands.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. We have faced challenges of not having the product to provide for our business. Also, cutting ourselves short for our services to grow more clientele to the business.

Our company is designed to bring any dream to reality by any theme you choose whether it’s an event or photography. We specialize in Custom Sweets, party favors, Events & Photography. “Where Memorable experiences and captured moments begins.” We are most proud of our growth in the work we display and reflecting on where we came from. We are set apart from others with our reasonable prices but still put out the exceptional work, we do what we love from the heart not for the money.
