Travel has always been my cornerstone and has been a key component of my professional career. With over 20 years in Sales, Marketing & Project Management, my work experiences have afforded me endless opportunities to explore the world and gain relationship building skills.
Privy & May Travel is the intersection of my passion for project management and travel. I created Privy & May Travel as an expression of my joy for designing travel experiences for others and inspiring them to realize of their dreams through exploration. I truly believe that travel is the catalyst to an awakening within our lives. Nothing excites me more than being able to listen and learn about what inspires individuals and then leveraging my diverse background to tailor their travel experiences and provide services that exceed their expectations.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The decision to follow my passion was an easy one and partnering with travel industry leader, Virtuoso, the leading global network of agencies specializing in luxury and experiential travel, has been key differentiator for my business. With a portfolio of nearly 1,700 top hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and more, Virtuoso represents the best of the best in travel. Being a Virtuoso Travel Advisor, coupled with my personal connections and first-hand expertise, affords me the opportunity to curate unique and memorable experiences for my clients as well as provide complimentary perks, VIP treatment and access to the “hidden gems” of a destination.
As many will attest to, the journey to entrepreneurship comes with a host of challenges. Rewarding challenges, but challenges nonetheless. Walking away from a promising, steady long-term career to start my own travel advisory where I “wear all the hats” was a big adjustment for me mentally and physically. It was important for me to establish a solid business foundation and brand at inception so that I could focus on nurturing client relationships and growing my business.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is knowing that I have not only met but exceeded my client’s expectations. A key indicator of this is the health of my referral business. As the saying goes and it is very vital and true in my area of expertise – a referral is the greatest compliment anyone can give me. I know I have been successful when my clients return from their vacations and cannot wait to share their experiences with their friends and family.
