Meet Booker T. Huffman of Reality Of Wrestling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Booker T. Huffman.

Booker T., can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
While I was actively wrestling, I always thought about what my life would look like after wrestling. I knew that I wanted to train the next generation of professional wrestlers. So, 13 years ago I opened a professional wrestling academy with a few students in a small facility. Each year we grew little by little and I eventually started having wrestling shows once a month featuring my students. We slowly gained a following, and now Reality Of Wrestling is televised on the CW network every Saturday night. The show is filmed live from my arena, Booker T’s World Gym Arena, which also houses my professional wrestling academy

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. I thought I would have to close my doors a few times when the economy took a turn for the worse. The wrestling industry is highly affected by the economy. When people don’t have a lot of disposable income, then our industry suffers. However, I was fortunate enough to weather the storm and my company has grown tremendously.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Reality Of Wrestling story. Tell us more about the business.
Reality Of Wrestling is The Flagship Of Texas Wrestling. It is one of the best independent wrestling companies in the world. Not only is Reality Of Wrestling a professional wrestling academy, but it is a televised wresting program featuring local, homegrown stars trained by WWE Hall Of Famer, Booker T. Reality Of Wrestling also has Kids Camps for children to learn about wrestling in a safe and fun environment. These camps focus on team work, anti-bullying, public speaking, and entertainment. Fantasy Camps are offered for anyone ages 10 and up who want to become a professional wrestler or who just want to see what the wrestling industry is all about.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years I hope that Reality Of Wrestling will be televised nationally.
