Today we’d like to introduce you to Sandy Petermann Williams.
Born and raised in Louisiana, Sandy Petermann-Williams is a long-time resident of The Woodlands and has been helping clients buy and sell homes in The Woodlands area for over a decade. Prior to finding her true calling in real estate, Sandy worked as an accountant in the oil and gas industry. She credits those years for helping her develop a keen eye for detail and a sharp judgment about whether “the numbers” make sense for a client, something that can be overshadowed by the often emotional and stressful process of buying or selling a home.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
“It has not been a smooth road. Market struggles are real! The communities that I serve are directly and indirectly affected by happenings in the Energy industry, so the real estate market can move up and down based on any changes that occur in that sector of the economy. Over the years, I’ve worked hard to develop a solid base of repeat clients and referrals, which helps to keep my business consistent.”
We’d love to hear more about your business.
“It’s important to me te build lasting relationships with my clients. I strive to make the home buying/selling experience as smooth as possible, and my top priority is personal service. When a client has a concern about something and picks up the phone, they’re not transferred to a call center or someone who just happened to be in the office. When they choose me as their realtor, they know they’re going to get Sandy on the line.”
Professional awards and accolades for Sandy’s work include membership in the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award, RE/MAX Hall of Fame, Chairman’s Club and Platinum Club as well as ranking among the Top 20 RE/MAX realtors for 2014. She has also garnered the sought after Five Star Professional Award for real estate agents a remarkable nine years in a row, and was ranked as one of the top realtors in Houston and across the entire in the 3rd quarter of 2019.
What were you like growing up?
“I grew up in a small town in Louisiana on a family farm. I had daily responsibilities which helped me to become the person I am today. I grew up with a very strong, maybe even bossy, personality. As a “red head,” I was often made fun of, but I stood my ground and didn’t let that bother me. That’s how God made me, and I am proud of who I am and where I came from. My parents are still a vital part of my life and instilled in me the importance of strong family values. If I committed to do something, I used all my strength and know-how to finish it. I played basketball, softball and was a cheerleader all through school–I was a very competitive kid! As a real estate professional, I use those past experiences to focus on what’s important for my clients and to be tenacious about helping them get the most out of their real estate transactions.
