Today we’d like to introduce you to Linda Nguyen.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Linda. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my blog in 2009 as purely a hobby. I didn’t yet know how to take beautiful photos or optimize my posts for search engines. I just happily plugged away sharing what’ve enjoyed eating around Houston and Austin. In 2014, I picked up my first DSLR. In 2015, I got laid off my admin/marketing job and decided to take a leap into focusing on my photography and blogging as sources of income. And it’s been a whirlwind ever since! I’ve moved to North Carolina with my now fiancé and now cover both NC and TX and beyond on my blog.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think most people’s life’s journeys are smooth roads. The key to realizing your dreams is to keep plugging away even if it means not earning what you did before you pursued your dream. Or scaring your loved ones because you’re steering away from the conventional and “safer” route. My advice is to first decide what you want. And then start working at it. Don’t quit your job first thing. Do it after or before your workday. Do it on the weekend. Start studying and stacking up little accomplishments. Before you know it, you’ll look up and your life has changed!
