Today we’d like to introduce you to Diamond McNutt.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Diamond. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri, born and raised. I ventured off to Houston, Texas to attend Texas Southern University for my undergrad studies to pursue my psychology degree. Although I got my cosmetology license when I graduated out of high school. As an independent, young adult, I had to think on my toes when it came to adulting on where my “bread and butter,”(financial income) would come from. How can I balance bills and my academics and live comfortably. So I figured out what will make me a substantial amount of money fast, with flexible scheduling, and less clientele. “Ding” I have my cosmetology license to fall back on and a new trend was taking effect at this time. Luxurious, fluffy, eyelash extensions!

Now here I am four years later, after working under a lash salon for 1 year, then freelancing lash extensions and hair styling on my own to BOSS STATUS! I now have my own organization, business if you will, Lash by Krowned Diamond. Where I give you the Hollywood experience in traveling to you to professionally apply premium mink eyelash extensions. In the comfort of your own home ,office, etc. Although my clientele is still building and growing, I am extremely grateful, blessed, and humbled with the loyal clients I have and that are coming my way!

Has it been a smooth road?
Has the road been smooth along the way heck no LOL!! I have lost jobs gang jobs my income has been up and down I have lost clients and gained wonderful beautiful clients, but this is the risk you take as a entrepreneur if it was easy everyone would be their own boss or own their own business.

Please tell us about your business.
So my business, Lashes by Krowned Diamond, consists of me only, as of right now, being your personal, professional, certified eyelash extension stylist.

I specialize in semi-permanent premium mink eyelash extension applications of classic, volume, and hybrid (mix) sets. I also preform gel removal of the semi-permanent eyelashes, lash shampoos and more! I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist for almost a decade with certified training in eyelash extensions for almost four years and I’m only 26 years old. What I’m known for is being a traveling Lash Stylist. That’s what sets me apart from other eyelash Extension technicians to me. I am most proud of my growth within this industry, my clientele , knowledge and reputation. As you all can attest, there are tons of hairstylist and Lash Stylist, so to be set apart makes you extremely proud of your work and artistry.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that Houston is extremely diverse! Also how big the city is and how many people are here. I’m from a small city and you can fit FOUR St. Louis, Missouri in Houston, Texas and I feel like that helps with my business a lot. The least thing I like about the city is the traffic!! I obviously travel to my clients often. sitting in traffic makes me feel like I’m losing out on money and time is money Honey LOL.
