Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Vayner.
Michael, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was in the corporate sector, and the company I was working for was beginning to crumble. Layoffs were happening, and I could see the writing on the wall. A friend of mine and I looked into opening a business and came across an ad for a photo booth. So we contacted the manufacturer and began the process of purchasing our first booth. A week before Harvey hit HOUSTON, I was laid off. The following week I lost everything because of Harvey. But I managed to save our photo booth. The last three years have been a roller coaster ride. We had our equipment stolen on Christmas Eve 2017 right from our office. So we hit a set back just as we were getting started. Fast forward to today we offer the some of the latest and greatest event technology on the market today! We have done events for ESPN Radio HOUSTON, AVEVA and the HOUSTON Sabercats, 100’s of weddings, birthdays, Quinces, bar and bar mitzvahs, and so many more. We have lots more in store, with new technology being added to our inventory all the time. I do what I do because I have two little girls who depend on their Dad! My two daughters Leora and Eliana, are my world and there is nothing I would not do to make sure their lives are as perfect as perfect can be.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a bumpy road, getting through Harvey, equipment being stolen, starting a new business, but as the old saying goes, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” And I believe we have become better because of all of that.
PicMe Events – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We are a photo booth experience provider. We specialize in corporate brand activations, product launches, etc. We are known for providing amazing experiences no matter the type of event. I think our proudest moment was being able to provide an amazing Brand experience with Aveva and the Houston Sabercats during their first season at the brand new AVEVA Stadium. Our motto is Passion, Precision, Perfection and it’s stays true to us because in every event we put on those three elements from start to finish are a part of the design and production process.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
That after all the ups and downs, we are still here and we are providing new and returning clients the best experience possible.
