Today we’d like to introduce you to Javi Pizarro, Nail Artist.
Javi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
After finishing my aesthetic studies in 2016, I decided to focus on being a nail technician. It was not an easy path because you have to study and practice enough to achieve perfect and healthy nails. and although the road was a little difficult, I never gave up and managed to improve myself. I worked a lot of time for other people, and although it was almost always a good experience, I never felt comfortable with customer service. I always felt that attention should be quick, and that is why the quality of service was lost. The importance of nail health was also lost. That’s why I decided to open my own space for my clients. a space where attention is personalized. Thought of customer comfort. They can decide what to see, what to hear, what to drink, and most importantly, they know they will have a quality job done with love. Here I can take the time I want with each of them to meet their expectations. This has been an enriching experience for me because I can connect more with my clients and with my work. I love what I do, and I thank the universe for giving me the talent of nail art. I hope in the future to continue growing and to be able to open a bigger space for them, always thinking in a quality service.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest obstacle is people’s opinion. That negative opinion that they bring to you, “you won’t make it,” “you can’t.” These kind of phrases can limit yourself and make you believe that you really can’t. That’s why you always surround yourself with positive people, people who truly believe in you and be glad of your achievements. Because you can always achieve what you want, believe in yourself always!

In my business, the most important thing is the customer. I am proud of that because I make sure to provide quality service, and they always feel comfortable. I think what distinguishes me from the rest is about the time I spend with each one of my clients and that every design will be different. Here at unic.co, dreams can be true. The most important thing is quality, not quantity. That is why the name UNIC.CO means unique in Spanish because it is always a unique service.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The greatest achievement of my career was that I could become independent. I feel so proud of myself, of knowing that I am capable of so many things now my next step is to launch a line of products on hand care and more. This brand will have lotion, scrub, soap, cuticle oil, bath bombs and lip balm. The most interesting thing about this brand is that everything is handmade and is all natural. I hope to have it ready for April – May.
