Vidya, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Setting the craft of makeup and hairstyling classically and uniquely, Vidya works for looks that are pretty, clean, and glamorous! She founded Red Lotus Artistry to help educate women and inspire them to create their own beauty journey – to feel beautiful, confident, and not be overwhelmed by the millions of beauty products out there.
Company’s passion, attention to detail, and style, Red Lotus Artistry: Vidya and her team create looks for each client unique to what they desire, but with a professional twist. Their craft is their own, yet always up-to-date with the latest in the world of beauty. Red Lotus Artistry travels anywhere their client’s desire. From destination weddings too in town events, Vidya and team have you covered!
Makeup artistry and hairstyling has been her addiction since the young age of four. She found her aunt’s treasure, a makeup pot of gold, and never looked back. Since then, she has had the privilege of working with hundreds of happy clients, friends, and family members. Vidya is thrilled with the opportunities that have come her way since transforming her biggest passion into a business and is looking forward to endless experiences, adventures, and fun as she grows. The future is bright and beautiful for Red Lotus Artistry!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any other business, there are always hurdles and struggles. However, that is also what paves the way. I have learned a great deal from mistakes. Never giving up, I get back up and do better each and every step of the way. As my company has grown, there have been hurdles when it comes to finding the right team members to extend the same level of professionalism and bubbly-ness, if you will, to all of our clients, doing the right marketing to help grow, and so much more. But, the best part is not giving up, sticking to it and being flexible and open minded, because sometimes things do not work out the way you want them to. And, you just got to learn early on, that THAT is ok. Make a Plan B and keep going. And, so here we are still going and rising along the way.

Red Lotus Artistry is an All-Inclusive Beauty Company. We provide full services for our brides:
– Makeup Artistry (Traditional or Airbrush) – we are Master Airbrush Stylist and can do full face Airbrush makeup.
– Hair Design
– Preview Session
– Consultation Services to create a vision board for each of their events
-Styling
-Draping
-Jewelry Setting
-Beauty Reminders (leading up to the wedding, brides get texts/emails to drink more water, incorporate Hot yoga, etc.) And So much more. We do whatever is needed of us to ensure the bride is taken care of 100% and ready to walk down the aisle. We do not leave for our breaks until Bride is down the aisle.
As the company is growing, we are also adding on a skincare team, and back health specialists and so much more to help our brides do things that they may not even think of before the wedding, hence, why we are an All-Inclusive Beauty company. To that point, we want to make sure the bride knows that once they book us, their beauty stresses leading up to the wedding is taken care of.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
This is a loaded question because my childhood is filled with them. So I will deliver one related to my business. My aunt, who was and still is the ultimate Diva in our family, was always so fashionable and had a cupboard filled with makeup. I mean, there was enough makeup for a professional makeup artist to use for their clients, and mind you, I was four years old. I remember one day just watching her put her makeup on like she was the Beauty Pageant Queen of India. She turned around and told me I could take whatever I wanted from her stash. I remember so clearly taking her red lipstick. I will forever remember that day, that moment! I guess I have her to thank for this passion that leads me to grow my empire.
