Thanks for sharing your story with us Felipe. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started when I kept on trying different micheladas, but there were none that I liked. So around 2012, I decided to create my own michelada mix. I wanted to create one that I would enjoy and others as well. When I first started offering my michelada mix creation, I started giving my co-workers a taste. From there, family members and friends kept asking for more michelada mix for their own events. That motivated me to continue making more michelada mix until I created social media accounts is when my business grew from there. Without my customers, Reyes Mix Michelada would not be anything.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
This has not been a smooth road. In the beginning, a lot of the product would go to waste because no one trusted my michelada mix. There were days when people would order my michelada mix, but would never show up to pay or they would change their minds the next day. Everyone trusted the big brands, so I got rejected several times by several people. Rejection was the worst because it felt as if my dreams were being shattered by a simple answer “no”. I know that I will face even more challenges in the future but what keeps me going are my children. I did not give up back then, and I will not give up now.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Reyes Mix Michelada – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Reyes Mix Michelada is prepared by myself. I have not changed the recipe since I first created it in 2012. This michelada mix can either be ordered by 1/4 of a gallon or ordered as a gallon. Besides offering the michelada mix, I have also tried to expand it by offering the margarita machine rental and the bar rental with or without bartenders. As a company, I am proud when customers tell me how much they enjoy the michelada mix and the services I provide.
What sets my michelada mix apart from the others is that I use fresh ingredients and I prepare them as my customers order them. If a customer orders michelada mix, I immediately prepare the mix on the spot or on the day that they need it. If my customers want their michelada mix to be more spicy, I adjust it in a way that they would like it. My customers get fresh michelada mix every time and they are always my priority.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future are to attend major events. I plan to take Reyes Mix Michelada to another level. I believe attending these events would allow a different crowd to taste my michelada mix. I am nervous and excited to let everyone know in the future at what event Reyes Mix Michelada will be at.
