Today we’d like to introduce you to Carmen Rojas.
Carmen, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Houston, TX. Moved to Miami for a year, where I started doing social media for my job at the time. I soon realized I was naturally good and understood social media marketing really well. I decided to start freelancing and I was fortunate enough to have worked with a digital marketing agency where I learned a lot about how the business worked. I realized that I could only do so much with just myself as I was getting a lot of traction as a freelancer. Within the next couple of months, I moved back to Houston and launched my own social media agency.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It definitely hasn’t. I don’t think I’ve ever met an entrepreneur that has ever experienced a “smooth road”. Personally, I soon realized that I needed to be more disciplined than ever. When you work from home like I do – and you are your own boss, you don’t have anyone looking over your shoulder making sure you get the job done. I am in a results-driven industry. If I don’t work/get results – I don’t get paid. Being an entrepreneur means being a problem solver. Everyday looks completely different with new challenges to face – which means growth. One of the many reasons why I love entrepreneurship. There was a lot of uncertainty in the beginning, but I decided to feel the fear and do it anyway. Haven’t looked back since.
Please tell us about B Seen.
B Seen is a social media agency. We help businesses/brands with all things social media. That could mean create content (graphics, photos, videos), grow social media presence and grow their business. What I am most proud of and what sets B Seen apart is that we specialize in Influencer Marketing and Brand Partnerships. I think it is something that is a fairly new concept here in the city and I am determined to make it the norm for brands and businesses to use Influencers to grow their social media presence. We have seen amazing results from maximizing on this with several of our clients and I believe more businesses should know about it.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I would like to say that the role of luck – or in my case the role of The Law of Attraction has played a HUGE role in my success. I think with anything, it all starts with your mind. When I started this, I didn’t have a clue how everything would manifest, but I KNEW that it would. Having an intention along with taking inspired action, and acting as if your desires are already yours are all the keys to manifesting the life you desire and deserve.
