Today we’d like to introduce you to Josh Originales.
Josh, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in a creative home. My dad was a craftsman, doing a lot of woodwork and my mom with her crafts. My love for art started with drawing my favorite cartoon and comic book characters. It later turned into designing homes on paper. I wanted to be an architect while I was in high school, but that didn’t happen. Later, I found a love for photography and film. I enjoy capturing and telling stories!
Has it been a smooth road?
Growth is never a smooth road. There are always bumps in the road and detours. One of my biggest struggles starting off was thinking I can do it all on my own. I would have the mindset that I knew it all and once you have that mindset, you stop yourself from learning from others. I’ve learned now how important relationships are and be more intentional with my time.
Tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Photography and Film is what I specialize in. I have help film short films, promotional videos, music videos and help with production for Anchor Bend church. I love taking creative portraits and also have done professional headshots.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the diversity of Houston. I hate the traffic!
