Today we’d like to introduce you to Marquita Brown.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I would never forget this, I was at my job and I had to call out because my son was sick. My employer told me that if I called out, then I wouldn’t have a job. At that point, I knew I had to, at some point become my own boss. That is how I got started in financial services back in 2017. I got to where I am today by fear. Fear of having someone control my time for the next 30-40 years of my life.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely not! Some of the struggles I had to deal with were my family and friends, not believing in me and telling me that I wasn’t going to be successful. Me getting in my own way, I’m an over-thinker so I made some of the process harder than it should have been. Also, not believing in myself and trusting that I could do this. If you can see majority of my struggles came from me.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about B&B Financial Solutions – what should we know?
I have a financial service company that specializes in credit repair and other financial services. I’m most known for life insurance and credit repair. I’m proud that we do the right thing for our clients. We put them first. What sets us apart from others is that we give you the tools to build and or rebuild your financial house and show you how to maintain it.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
A characteristic I feel is most important to my success is the integrity I have. I always strive to do what’s best for my clients, that was something I learned in the time I spent in the military.
