Today we’d like to introduce you to Tee Tran.
Tee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am originally from Montreal, Canada and I was an Advertising Executive for over 15 years. My wife Bao Han was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease and the winters in Canada were too harsh for her, so we decided to leave everything and relocate to a warmer place.
Bao Han has previously lived in Houston and had friends there, so we decided to give it a try. We had several business investment opportunities, but they did not come to fruition. Photography was a hobby and I had a website with mostly travel photos. Several friends ask us to take family photos so we did. Then, one day, a couple from Austin was getting married and asked us if we would shoot their wedding. We accepted, but really, had NO clue what we were getting into or what we were doing. The day came and we ended up delivering a pretty decent set of photos and they were quite happy!
From there on, we have shot over 150 weddings and traveled in 12 different countries over three continents in our first four years of business. We have since expanded our portfolio of services and now offer videography and photobooth services as well. I am the primary photographer and my wife serves as the fashion stylist and creative director.
Has it been a smooth road?
No business is ever smooth. Our biggest challenges were to continually learn new techniques and skills to stay up to date with the latest trends. We needed to invest time and money to attend trade shows, take online courses and watch many YouTube tutorials. Another challenge was to manage all the traveling and make sure we stayed healthy and not burnout.

We bring a fresh and modern vision to photography and film by combining fashion, art and creative storytelling into our award-winning work. Our photos are bold, epic and dramatic while our approach is friendly, fun and stress-free. We want our clients to feel like rockstars throughout the whole process, so we style all of our clients, recommend hair and makeup and teach you how to pose like the pros.
Though we are mostly known for wedding and engagement photos, we also do fashion, maternity, family and boudoir sessions.
We have been fortunate to have received several accolades and recognition from our industry, including the prestigious Junebug Weddings Best of the Best Award, MyWed Best of the Year and 25 Editor’s Choice Awards.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
We are so grateful to the people of Houston to have welcomed us with open arms. Southern hospitality is real and everyone was offering a hand for us to get integrated in the community. The art scene in getting more and more attention, especially in neighborhoods like Eado and the Heights.
