So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We immigrated from India about 10 years ago. Upon getting our Green Card 5 years ago, we started our first company called 5G Solutions and last year we set up The Seedlings Montessori School. I come with a Bachelor in Engineering Degree and a Masters in Business Administration Degree. I loved working in IT field but decided to follow my second passion of caring for children. Being a full time working mom of two kids I always felt the need of a daycare with core values that allows a child to develop the critical-thinking skills and intellectual curiosity that creates good citizens and fuels success in the classroom and beyond.
I am passionate about educating the whole child. From designing our castle themed building to a preschool library, I thought of everything from a parent and a child’s perspective.
Every child of The Seedlings Montessori School should become a happy and confident learner for life.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has been a learning curve for me in terms getting a loan and putting the right team together that would understand and implement my vision.

The SEEDLINGS Montessori School is a family owned Montessori School and we are committed to providing a dynamic, nurturing preschool giving every child the opportunity to develop into a happy and confident learner who is prepared for success in school and in life.

The Montessori approach is unlike any other early year’s program. Our programs for children 6 Weeks through 12 years of age are customized to each child’s academic need.
Children are encouraged to explore and learn through project-based/hands-on activities. Our curriculum is STEAM infused while keeping core Montessori values. We are confident that we will give your child an excellent foundation for an independent, self-directed time of learning.
At the Seedlings Montessori, we are dedicated to actively engaging students in the natural world. We view this engagement as a vital part of physical, psychological and intellectual development. The curriculum and day to day activities are designed in co-ordination with each other so that children get to observe and enjoy the outdoors. The children enjoy fresh and nutritious family style meals and snacks with each other cooked every day in our full kitchen.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
May be spend more time with my kids before a new project deadline 😉
