Meet Yussuff Jokomba and Latifat Lasisi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yussuff Jokomba and Latifat Lasisi.

Yussuff and Latifat, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
It all started 2012 when I had an unreliable vehicle, I literarily spent more than the value of the vehicle fixing it. In 2013, I met a friend who I helped with Engineering school stuff; assignments, exams and so on. He’ll pick me up from my apartment to school every day until I was able to get more money to fix the car. He was into cars but exporting them to Nigeria for sale. We got closer and I learned all about cars, buying selling, and so on.

After I got in a bad accident, my car was totaled and then I bought a Honda Accord for significantly lesser than the value, that’s when I thought to myself, I can sell this and make some money, but I did not have capital to start. In 2015 after I graduated, I moved to NE for work, then I had enough money to start the business. I bought my very first car to sell; a 2002 Nissan Xterra, I exported the vehicle to Nigeria, I bought another 2003 Nissan Xterra few weeks later, also exported that to Nigeria. I kept on saving until I was able to buy another vehicle for sale by living on one paycheck monthly. All that while, I was borrowing my friends license; so, started the process of my salvage license, but my job had always held me back from focusing on my business.

Few years later, I had grown to multiple cars, both exporting and selling in the US. I have had a few jobs, paying six figures, but I was never contented, because entrepreneurship is my passion; I now have my own dealer license: 4matic; partnership with my wife. where I am dedicated to providing reliable vehicles to customers at an unbeatable price. I also export reliable cars to Nigeria. I will keep growing this business, my next business is a Gas plant.

Has it been a smooth road?
Absolutely not! I have deprived myself a lot of things to save up money for the business. I have lost a lot of money during my learning and growing curve. After working long hours, I get home and work on my business even when tired, I worked through it, worked thru migraines and so on. I had no off days, my weekends were opportunities to get more efficient hours into my business.

Tell us more about the business.
4matic is currently a car dealership, we intend to add other business under this business name. we are known for reliability, unbeatable price, beautiful customer service, and outstanding quality.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Car business will be a lot larger than it is now and a functioning Gas plant will be in running.
