Today we’d like to introduce you to ISE Cold.
So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started off as an actor at a haunted house. I will always be an actor but I know how difficult it can be to get paid gigs. I had a friend that’s an artist. A few years ago, we couldn’t afford to pay someone for a music video.
I decided I would go to school to learn how to film. Since I’m an actor, it was a no brainer to eventually start doing my own short films. Hey, why not bring Hollywood to me? I started off interning with a company called Dang Films. I would eventually get hired on. I still work with Dang films today while doing my stuff in between.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Things were definitely difficult. I got divorced, dropped out of school because I couldn’t afford it. I didn’t give up even though some days I wanted too.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Many people know my company as ISE Cold films. It’s actually under an umbrella of ISE Cold Entertainment. When I first started, I didn’t know exactly which direction I wanted to go in. I knew that I wouldn’t to do something in the entertainment world. I wanted to write and direct movies while also having my hands in the pot of the music world. I’m really proud of all the obstacles I’ve had to overcome. It has been a rough journey. I’m very thankful for all of the people I have been able to work with. Right now I’m rebranding ISE Cold Entertainment to Frozen InHouse. I want to do just more than film. I also want to give others the opportunity to create.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moment, I would have to add two moments. My favorite artist has always been Z-Ro. When I first work with him, it was unreal. I still can’t believe that happened. My second is working with Tyler Perry as an actor. Although the role in one of his shows was just a background extra, the experience is something I will cherish for a lifetime. Many people dream of moments like that and I was blessed to have that as my reality.
