Thanks for sharing your story with us Kayla. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started playing in my mother’s makeup as a young child. I always enjoyed trying on lipstick and eyeshadow because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I started doing others makeup in high school. When I realized I could make others feel good by enhancing them I knew that I wanted to be a makeup artist. I did my first fashion show in October 2018 and it all went from there.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Some of my obstacles was being self-taught and having to teach myself everything without knowing many in this field. Also, some didn’t believe in my vision for my business and how far I want to go with it.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Blessed Hands Makeup Artistry – what should we know?
My business specializes in enhancing women’s natural features and making them look and feel beautiful. We offer wedding packages, photoshoot makeup, and personal event makeup. We have a wide variety of styles that can be accommodated for each individual.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
The qualities most important to my success is perseverance, humility, determination, and creativity. As well as resilience and inquisitiveness.
