Today we’d like to introduce you to Arlin Kethley.
Arlin, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In 2012, after working for other Houston companies, I knew I wanted to have my own company. The window industry has been in my family for two generations already so I thought I’d make it three. Paul Ryan Windows’ first commercial project was the Rise at Northgate in College Station and was a huge accomplishment for us.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s not always been smooth. When we started none of the manufactures wanted to sell to a startup company. We didn’t have a track record and there are some pretty big window companies in Houston. Finally a manufacturer in New York, with an office in Missouri, gave us a chance. We would drive to Missouri, load all of the windows and take them back to my garage as storage until they were installed. It was hard work and honestly, we didn’t make any money, but it showed other manufacturers that we were in it for the long haul and they could trust us.
Please tell us about Paul Ryan Windows.
Paul Ryan Windows provides residential replacement windows, wholesale, and commercial windows. Some of the projects we’re most proud of are the Rise at Northgate, The Pearl in City Centre, and Elan in the Heights, just to name a few.
As we build the residential replacement window side of PRW we’ve really made an effort to specialize in customer satisfaction. Our reviews are all stellar because we take care of our clients. We provide a lifetime warranty on parts and labor and some windows have a lifetime warranty on glass replacement. We truly mean that Paul Ryan Windows are The Last Windows You Will Ever Need.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Probably the summers that I worked toward earning my Eagle Scout Ranking with the Boy Scouts. It was the first time that I realized hard work and dedication really does pay off.
