Meet Chef Beanz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Beanz.

Chef, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
For starters, my real name is Quain Bevans Jr. and I am from Camden, New Jersey. In high school as well as college, my nickname was Q-Beanz and I’ve always been known to think outside of the box. I really enjoy cooking up different things in my mind that I want to manifest. One day at a summer cookout, one of my fraternity brothers (Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc) gave me a chef hat as a gift. I became attached to this new item so people stopped calling me Q-Beanz and started calling me Chef Beanz. I became popular for the conversations and ideas that I would cook up.

I then created a concept called “Intentional Consumption” which is homegrown healing for the soul. I help people harvest their full potential by adding intent to all that they do.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. After my apartment caught on fire in 2017, I was faced with a crossroad being that everything that I worked hard for went up in flames. I had to ask myself, “What type of life do you want to live? What does happiness look like and feel like to you?”

After I answered those questions, I endured a season of solitude to where I’ve identified my triggers so that I can respond to situations in a healthier way.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Chef Beanz Cafe curates experiences that allows people to be intentional with not only what their body consumes but also the books that they ready, the conversations that they have and the energy that they ingest!

I do that by way of motivational speaking, digital content, and my most popular item which are my “Be Intentional…” shirts. The feedback that I’ve gotten from customers across the world is that they feel empowered wearing it and it’s an awesome conversation starter.

I am most proud that that I took a chance on myself with the company. Often, great ideas would pass my mind but I’d never act on them. Once I saw the full potential of Chef Beanz Cafe with Intentional Consumption, I knew that I would have to build it from the ground up brick by brick. Now I’ve established a solid foundation!
