Today we’d like to introduce you to Mia Tizon.
Mia, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started in August 2019, when I wanted to decorate for my husband’s birthday. I wanted to do something unique and trendy. I didn’t want to do something ordinary. I started researching cool balloon decorations. I watched tutorials on how to create balloon decorations. It sparked a fire in me and I started mimicking what I saw. Next thing you know I’m creating balloon garlands. I realized I had a gift and I wanted to keep pursing it. I made the decision to start my own balloon company that same month. I put all my faith and trusted God with this new venture. Putting my trust in him changed my journey.
He started opening doors for me to show my work. I started doing some balloon decor for my church not even a month after starting. That right there was the exclamation point for me. I knew this was the moment I had to show my talent. The balloon decor turned out amazing and it pivoted me to continue to grow. Not only has my business grown but my knowledge for balloons has as well. This month marks a whole year of being in business and I’m so blessed of what God has done. I’m proud to say I’m that Balloon Girl! I love what I do and enjoy my client’s reactions. I owe this all to God.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey has had its ups and downs. I was new to this industry and success doesn’t happen overnight. Being a full-time mother of 4 girls and working a full-time job made it difficult to pursue my business. I had to make time whether it was late at night or on weekends to focus on it. I pushed myself and many times I wanted to quit but God reminded me not to. If I had given up my business would’ve failed and I would’ve failed myself. What kept pushing me was my girls. I was inspired to show my daughters that you can do anything if you put effort into it. Balancing life and business are truly hard when you’re a mother, wife and employee. I felt like I had to work even harder to not let this vision and passion go to waste. I’m grateful that I didn’t just give up. I took charge and was determined to succeed.

My balloon business provides balloon decorations for all types of events. From the simplest balloon bouquets to big balloon set ups. What I love doing is creating masterpieces. I pour my heart into everything I do. To me everything is important, even the smallest detail. Balloons are so much fun and creative. What I’m most proud of Confetti Pop Creations is the dedication! Taking the time to create balloon decor and being unique is our goal. What sets us apart is the passion and love we put into everything we do. I treat every job like it’s my own. I want my clients to feel at ease knowing what I do for them would be meaningful.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory as a child was going to the park with my siblings. Every week my dad would take us to enjoy and play. We would spend hours there. Whether it was riding our bikes or playing in the jungle gym. Those memories are one of the best because life was so care free. We got to spend time together.
