Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyrone “Ty Inspires” Putman.
Tyrone,” let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As a high school student-athlete, I was introduced to the “Kairos” spiritual retreat, which stripped my classmates and me of our electronic devices and outside influences for five consecutive days. The course forced us to focus on gaining a better understanding of ourselves, our relationship with God and others, and finding our individual purposes.
Even after the life-altering lessons, I learned that week, in college, I developed a false sense of purpose, one ingrained in financial gain, status, titles, accolades, and notoriety. I was defining success by the terms set by society, and despite yielding success in those areas, I felt a massive void, a lack of direction, and a sense of unhappiness. In desperation, I developed a modified version of the Kairos program for myself, which helped me redefine my purpose and cultivate a healthier spiritual relationship. Each week, I dedicated time to step away from the pressures and distractions of daily life. I prayed aloud, read devotionals, and challenged myself to answer tough questions that led me to discover my “why.” I left that space with a clear understanding of what I needed to do next and where I needed to invest my time and energy.
There are people and communities that are experiencing the same lack of fulfillment and direction that I endured. My purpose is to help them out of that space by engaging, empowering, and encouraging others to “Flip the Switch”—chase what’s yours and live a purpose-driven life. I have the ability to build and unify teams, change company culture, and exponentially increase productivity through hands-on training and assessments. As the CEO and visionary of TPA Consulting, I am putting these learnings and skills into action, taking individuals, teams, and companies to the next level.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Overall, the journey has been amazing! As I began to walk in my purpose, things started to manifest naturally. My network grew tremendously by word of mouth, which led to invitations to speak across the country with student-athletes and corporations. Since getting started just over a year ago, I have seen sustainable results and witnessed the impact of my message through client testimonials.
Fortunately, the road has had its struggles too. I say, fortunately, because, with all the obstacles and setbacks, the vision has been made clearer. I’ve learned that there are no losses along the journey, only learning and growth opportunities.
The biggest struggle I continue to battle is self-doubt. The journey to achieving your goals and dreams is long, tedious, and tiring. The easy thing to do is to quit, but I know that in order to achieve your goal, you must keep going.

Ty Inspires with TPA Consulting is a leading motivational speaker leveraging the consulting platform to engage, empower, and encourage individuals, teams, and companies to set goals, walk-in purpose, and make those goals/dreams a reality. I assess the needs of my clients and provide actionable and sustainable solutions. I specialize in changing culture, increasing productivity, and empowering others to achieve more. I am known for maintaining a positive outlook on life and its challenges, chasing my dreams fervently, and a passion for developing others.
I am most proud of the growth my clients continue to experience. Watching them internalize my message and start new businesses, chase their dreams, and seek purpose has been rewarding.
My life experiences, passion, understanding, and customized training set me apart from others as I’ve lived my message and can speak to my clients’ needs from my personal experience and education. I am digitally accessible to clients across the country, and I travel to provide in-person training as well. While others focus solely on financial gain, my goal is to be rich in impact.

First and foremost, my Lord & Savior deserves all the credit. I believe that we have all been blessed with a Purpose tailor-made for each of us. Recognizing, realizing, and taking action to fulfill that purpose is our duty. Along this journey, being obedient to my purpose has helped me grow my brand and business.
I have also been blessed with family and friends that continue to empower, motivate, and support me. A special “Thank you” to my biggest cheerleaders and supporters, my brother (Joshua), mother (Shawnette), sister (Torie) and father (Tyrone). I owe my continued success to my close friends, who are more like brothers and sisters as each of them has played a big role in my success, pushing me to new heights and continuing to encourage me along the journey.
