Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisa Terra and Robert Federowicz.
Elisa and Robert are former Personal Trainers. Their Personal Training studio was located in the Energy Corridor and they specialized in functional training, often tailoring workouts to address their clients’ previous injuries and their physical challenges. They very much enjoy helping others improve their quality of life.
Robert first learned about the many benefits of Whole Body Cryotherapy from his father’s use of it years ago in Poland. When he discovered that Cryo was available in Austin several years ago, the couple made a weekend trip there to experience Cryo for themselves.
When Cryo finally made its way to Houston, he started utilizing the service himself to aid in his own personal fitness regime. Elisa watched him go from being sore all the time to beating personal records in the gym and never being sore. The decision was made and CryoTexas was no longer a dream. Robert resigned from his corporate job and the pair started working towards making the dream a reality. CryoTexas opened its door to the public in November of 2016 in the Energy Corridor. The cryostudio has seen close to 1,000 new clients try Whole Body Cryotherapy.
Has it been a smooth road?
We decided to complete our cryostudio’s entire buildout ourselves in an effort to save money. This took longer than anticipated. As a result, CryoTexas opened its doors two days before Thanksgiving 2016. Opening during the holiday season meant that our first few weeks of business were slow. However, once the New Year began, business rapidly picked up, to our relief.
Until very recently, we were the only two employees, working from open to close, 7 days a week, oftentimes servicing 50 clients per day. Having now hired our first part-time employee, we feel confident that we will build a competent, professional and friendly team.
Continuing to grow at a pace where we are able to maintain our current level of customer service is our top priority.

CryoTexas is a sports recovery and wellness studio that specializes in Whole Body Cryotherapy. We pride ourselves on our customer service and our community outreach. Building a relationship with our clients is something we enjoy doing, everyone feels welcome at CryoTexas. Because we have been part of the community since 2004 (our daughter graduated from Stratford High School in 2010), we additionally focus on supporting other small businesses and schools in the Energy Corridor area.

Having lived in Houston for 22 years, we enjoy living in this “city of opportunity”. With its strong economy, supportive community and small-business-friendly regulations, Houston is an ideal environment for entrepreneurs.
