Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Blake.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Jonathan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Basically started the movement when hashtags were in style in 2011 but as of two years ago, I started the apparel part. I was always into fashion and creating (which I have a degree in graphic design) I do all my own logos and create everything. It started off as something to do while I was overseas playing basketball that turned into something bigger than basketball and inspirational.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it has not been a smooth road. Lol, not even to say the least but I’ve enjoyed the journey and the process of it all. I struggled with understanding the business side of it, that it takes more than just selling your product. The analytics aspect of it, numbers also dealing with websites, funding, advertising and funding lol.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Wesomeworkaz – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Wesomeworkaz was started solely based of the meaning of work. I’m a firm believer in if you don’t work, you don’t grind you don’t shine/eat. We provide a feeling with our goods when you sport our brand, you’re labeled a worker someone who works hard for what they want and need. I’m most proud of how fast we’ve grown in such a small period of time an the recognition we have gotten all across the world. Sure me playing professionally all over the world helps but to see people get behind it and rep it, get our logo tatted on them means so much an honor. What sets us apart from others is our quality and the feeling we give you when you wear it. The visuals we come with each and other week to keep you engaged with our brand.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Just continue to grow as a company. I do want to do a school, charity events to raise money for those less fortunate (kids) and create an environment where I have role models on the brand to show kids anything is possible with hard work. Also, a team.
