Life & Work with Briana Walker

Hi Briana, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started @briasbeautybox exactly five years ago as a makeup artist because I had my first child. I was a stay at home mom at the time and I’ve always loved anything beauty related even as a teenager! My main focus as a new mom and dealing with certain insecurities was to make women feel beautiful! I eventually got into doing hair, nails, & eyelash extensions as well. Bria’sBeautyBox is my passion and I always strive to continue growing my business in all ways! I have giveaways, I do charity work, pop up shops & makeup classes as well so that women know the right techniques for their personal fave shape and makeup look so they’re able to do it without a makeup artist!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Owning Bria’sBeautyBox has definitely been one of the most challenging experiences! There were times when I wanted to give up due to my circumstances as a single mother of 4, but I never gave up because I always looked at the bigger picture which was educating women on how to do everything I do on their own! As well as showing single mother and women that have been through allot that you can still have a passion and build a business and become your own boss with ambition and faith!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about you’re your work?
I specialize in anything beauty related. From hair, nail, & makeup! I’m the most proud of my resilience when it comes to continuing to grow and elevate my business for likeminded women. Setting my business, I had no clue where to begin, but I researched and couldn’t afford to do certain things such as social media marketing, logos, & my website & I learned to do everything my business needs on my own! I feel like what sets me apart from others is the fact that it isn’t just about the financial part of Bria’sBeautyBox it’s about making women realize that they can do these things on their own as well & they can follow their Dresden no matter what ethnicity or background they may come from!

What are your plans for the future?
As far as the future of my business I want to continue giving back with the knowledge I’ve gained I also want to open a salon for other beauty entrepreneurs so that they can have a stepping stone in growing their business and clientele to eventually get their own salon as well! I also would like to open a school to teach different techniques about perfecting their craft.
