Hi Debrecia / Bre, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello My name is Bre and I officially started my business February 13, 2019. At least that’s when my website when up so I count that as the official day. But I’ve always wanted to do something dealing with Fashion, I first started talking about doing something with Fashion in 2011 when I was 19/20 years old but was also still very young so I never took it seriously. Fast forward to 2018 a tragic year for me I lost my oldest brother and i just decided to take what he told me the last time I saw him which was Brecia you better get you a hustle/ Business which I already had been thinking about. So I came up with a name kloset91. Which is basically representing things I would wear or have in my closet and 91 which is my birth year. It has not been an easy journey at all. I have my days where I think maybe this isn’t for me and I also have my days where I just continue to pray and push myself because I love seeing women feel beautiful and confident in themselves and what they are wearing so if I can contribute and help them feel confident and sexy then I know I’ve done my job.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road at all. I have days where I make ten sales, 1 sale and even days of no sales. So you really have to push yourself especially on days when you have made nothing and start to question yourself and your product. I just continue to pray and I try to learn something new about my business every single day to keep me focused and on track.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do home health care aside from being an entrepreneur.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I have a lot of different women that I follow on social media or watch on YouTube that inspire me or gives great advice on business. So I try to soak up as much as I can.
