Hi Carl & LaKisha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Raised in Chicago, I’ve always had a passion for cooking and my wife (Houston native) loves customer service. So, in January of 2020, we decided to start selling plates of food to supplement our current income, and were amazed at the results and comments of various customers. And Next Level Catering was born…
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
The road wasn’t always smooth and one issue that I can remember was try to sell the last few plates at the end of the day, as well as being rejected by certain individuals that weren’t personally familiar with us and our brand.
As you know, we’re big fans of Next Level Catering. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Next Level Catering brings exceptional catering to the Katy area with great food and professional service that will delight and inspire. We specialize in various cuisines from American to international, but we’re known for our Chicago style barbecue. As for our brand, we’re currently in the process of obtaining our 1st food truck within the next few months. We focus on quality and flavor, and cook meals that will leave a favorable impression. We bring our expertise to your home or event, giving you the freedom to enjoy top-quality meals at very reasonable prices.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was the day I learned how to read. I was 5 years old and was so excited! Reading is still my 2nd passion next to cooking. My wife favorite memory is road trips with her family, especially her grandfather. They were each other’s heartbeat!
