Conversations with Brandon Hunsaker

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Hunsaker.

Brandon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I moved from Gaston, Oregon (700 population) to Houston at age ten. Once I got to Houston, I was between my grandma and aunts house while going to school in Channelview. Then my mom got enough money and moved me to spring on the Northside of Houston. In spring I started finding myself and what I wanted to do & that lead to me getting into photography.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My biggest obstacles/challenges while doing visual arts is getting big paying jobs at my age. Being 22 years old, business owners and individuals don’t have as much trust with big amounts of money to people in my age group unless your famous witch is very hard to work around.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a photographer, Videographer, Graphic designer, Social media marketer & more… I specialize in Visual arts (photography, videography) I’d say photography or clothing. I started a clothing line when I was 14 and I sold a lot of products before stopping to pursue visual arts. I’d say I’m most proud of being Abel to go on tour with 1501 & Megan the stallion on the legendary nights tour! I was Abel to experience & work next to other photographers/ artist I used to look up too from a distance.: I’d say my hustle & long term mindset is what sets me apart from others.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Chris (vanilla trill) & Twayne: I met them when I was 13 or 14 I think. They were like 20 years old at the time… We instantly became cool despite the huge age difference and started hanging out. I was shooting videos and photos for them & I had my clothing line at the time. So they would bring me with them to events and connect me with the correct people. Later on when I started doing photography, all those connections helped me gain business and helped me build a brand for myself.
