Daily Inspiration: Meet Brandi Pembrook

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Pembrook.

Hi Brandi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have always had such a natural passion for helping people. I have one of those huge giving personalities and I have been this way for as long as I can remember. My business is called The P3 Movement. P3 stands for Power, Passion, Peace. I feel like these three words have been a consistent part of the journey to myself, the journey to my career, to my friends/family, and the journey to love. Mind you, it has not always been easy. I developed the concept of P3 as a business years ago and I was just too scared to start it. Last year I made it public and I have been really busy ever since. I offer business plan creation, marketing plans, business consulting, operations help, grant writing and a little bit of everything in between. All I can say is God is not through with me yet. I believe this is just the beginning of where The P3 Movement can go.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been smooth. I am truly transparent about my mental health struggles and ANXIETY has crippled me at certain points of this journey. Never have I given up on myself or my business, but I have stopped along the way. I had to learn that it was perfectly ok to take mental health breaks. I’m a go-getter so I rarely know when to stop working, but I quickly learned how easy it is to burn-out.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As I continue to age and rebrand myself as a woman, I make sure that my business does the same. I try to stay up on technology. I am ALWAYS enrolling in some sort of course to learn more and continue to perfect my craft. I think what sets my business apart from others is that I will never lie to anyone for a check. It’s not worth it. I am going to tell you the truth and offer sound consulting whether you like it or not. I’m here for bettering people as owners first and then making sure their business excels, I most proud of my work ethic. I have really quick turnarounds and I’m a one woman show. So everything that happens here at P3 is created, operated, and executed by me.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
NETWORK so you can increase your NETWORTH! Networking and attending different local events really helped develop me as a business owner. I will emphasize that everyone needs a mentor. Find someone in your industry who is doing well and learn how they got where they are.
