Today we’d like to introduce you to Maretta Williams.
Hi Maretta, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
While on vacation in 2016 I visited a Spa in Atlanta and was introduced to something called a Yoni Steam. I went ahead and got the service and I LOVED it. When I got home I couldn’t stop thinking and talking about it. I eventually got myself two chairs made with the intention of sharing the experience with some close friends and family in a room I would make my own personal spa room. I added a detox sauna blanket and massage table to my room and it really grew from there. I started my official business in 2019 and haven’t looked back since. It all just kind of happened but I don’t have any regrets and I actually love what I do. I also make these awesome pressed fruit and vegetable juices that fit right in with the natural aspect of my shoo and my life.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road but nothing that’s not to be expected. I’ve went from a space I thought was perfect to where I am now and it actually fits me perfectly. I’ve paid for several trainings that I have not fully reaped the benefits from but I am still pushing forward. People booked appointments and I’ve literally sat waiting and they never show. People respond to reminder remarks and texts stating they are convinced to their appointments and at the last minute call and cancel. All this is very frustrating and takes time away from me being with my Family which at the end of the day is most important. It’s not been a horrible ride though because I really am enjoying the journey.
As you know, we’re big fans of Peace Palace Spa and Juice Bar. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My business is a peaceful place that people can come to for services that help them detox, relax, and provide an overall calming experience. Some of the services was on offer are Yoni Steams, Foot detoxing, all natural Belly Wraps, Needle-less lip fillers and waxing. What sets Peace Palace apart is that like so many other awesome spa owners I love what I do and I do it with care and genuine concern. And that is priceless as well as what I’m most proud of. I want the readers to know that if I cannot help them in any way, I would not waste their time or their money. I want for everyone to come and be at peace for the time they are there.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
