Wanica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a Texas Native and Mother of four. I began my study of Astrology in 2013 soon after going thru a divorce and in an attempt to understand myself better… I wanted to understand why I was responding to the divorce in a rather “non-chalantly optimistic” way – something that didn’t seem ok with my peers.
As I began to understand the energetic & cosmic makeup of who I am, so much began to not only make sense but become understandable in my life and those life of those around me. I was able to use what I was learning to prepare myself for the transits of my life. I also began to fully accept who I am and what my gifts, purpose & lessons are.
In true Sagittarius form, the more I learn about Astrology, the more I teach others about it and that is how Ms (nod to teacher) Astrology began. I study & teach Western Tropical Astrology, Tarot and all things Esoterism.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road to becoming a professional Astrologer has had its challenges but, honestly, nothing that I cannot take personally responsibility for. Astrology is a science so you must truly study and observe the energies of the planets and how they are affecting not only yourself but your friends, family and the collective as a whole. Interpreting Astrological Charts & Tarot Cards for clients is a very intuitive & energetic work so it has been very important (and sometimes challenging) to be mindful of how I treat my body. I believe my type of work requires clean eating & physical strength so making time and staying disciplined with diet and exercise has been a test.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an Intuitive Astrologer, Tarot Reader & Healer… I use the planets, the cards and my intuition to bring guidance, clarity, direction and healing to my clients. I am known for being very personable and giving helpful tips to prepare my clients for both the blessings and the lessons that their specific astrology indicates for them.
I am most proud of my client reviews and being featured in Allure Magazine August 2020 as one of 6 Black Astrologer To Energize Your Instagram Feed.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Most would be surprised to know that as social as I can be, I actually spend a lot of time alone.
