Hi Rodney, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in the north Houston area and moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1998. We recently purchased an IT business in Houston and have relocated. Being closer to our family was a key factor in our decision to move as well as the economy in Houston for potential growth.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Moving to another state and purchasing a business during a pandemic year has had its challenges. This year looks to be promising in 2021 with new opportunities.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
It is all about relationships in the IT support industry. Having a good working relationship with your client is the key to being successful. At HighTex we strive at customer relations and communication, being responsive to our client’s needs. We think this is what separates us from other IT firms. Being a local IT company in Houston gives us the ability to respond quickly to a customer’s needs, both onsite and remote.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
With Covid-19, you need to be sensitive to the environment you are in when working with a client onsite. Being cautious to the needs of the clients as well as their customers. Everyone has a different comfort level when it comes to masks and other precautions. And we make it a point to be sensitive to those concerns.
