Today we’d like to introduce you to Tosha Hypolite.
Hi Tosha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The two consistent things in my life that keep me focused and grounded are my faith in God and my willingness to never give up on my dreams. I also have a wonderful husband and a vibrant 10-year-old son who are my biggest cheerleaders. My passion for helping other people is one of the biggest things igniting the fire inside of me. I inherited my entrepreneurial spirit from my father Larry Hunter Sr. who owned one of the first daishiki shops here in Houston. My dad was also a well-known author and playwright who taught me to always follow my dreams. I just recently found out that my great great grandmother was one of the first African American Brokers here in Houston. I have 20+ years in Accounting, Finance & Project Management and 6 years of recent sales experience. When I stepped out on faith and left my lucrative sales job in Corporate America to start my Real Estate business, I was scared but I knew God had something bigger and better for me. I have always had an interest in the real estate industry and always firmly believed the path to homeownership should be accessible to everyone. Real Estate is one of the biggest components for achieving generational wealth. It’s important to educate our community about the benefits of purchasing a home or even investing in real estate. As a Keller Williams Agent, I feel so blessed to be able to help change people’s lives by guiding them through the entire process from beginning to end. Working for one of the number one brokerages in the world, I have all the tools and resources needed to be successful with helping others achieve their real estate goals and at the same time provide a legacy for my son. When working with clients, my goal is to always be responsive, dependable and innovative.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road but I have overcome some big personal development obstacles. I am a very private person and Social Media has always been my glass ceiling. I never wanted to embrace it from a business standpoint. I only liked talking about my 10-year-old son and the funny things he says. I enrolled in boot camp training along with formal training from various coaches and now 90% of my business comes from Social Media. I am now a firm believer that with the right processes and marketing tools in place, Social Media is a huge component for a successful business. I was recently named SparkHound’s Top Real Estate Agent on Social Media in Sugarland. I was #8 on the list.
As you know, we’re big fans yours. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I enjoy waking up and doing what I absolutely love to do, and that’s helping people obtain homeownership. My Real Estate business also gives me the flexibility to set my own schedule which allows me to spend more priceless moments with my family. Being a part of the Keller Williams family has given me the tools and resources to not only assist my clients with buying, selling or investing in real estate, it has also given me a bigger platform to give back to my community in various ways. I specialize in helping First Time Buyers, Sellers that are looking to downgrade or upgrade and investors who are looking for that perfect opportunity. The most consistent compliment I get from my clients is that I make them feel like they are always a top priority.
