Jazmyn Ariel Lacey/Started out a small business in New Orleans Right from The Kitchen of my Home! Left my 9 to 5 during the pandemic to Chase my second passion & that’s ‘ Known as a Nola Girl that cook Goodt with the T, lol! I’ve worked many jobs for so long & I was ready to step out on Faith & become my own boss! But cooking wasn’t my only small business/ Beauty & cosmetics was my first Jazzy lashes & Beauty, lead me into the business world on top of working that 9 to 5! Also made 3 magazines my first year! I’m a woman of many talents I think I shocked Nola they didn’t know my cooking skills was extravagant! My plates are nothing like your average plates! I fill every corner with food to the Top! I like to show love to my Black people & Make sure that every belly is full & happy! Cooking was just my duty at home for my family. Until my partner Battle Rapper joceking, inspired me to go on & take a chance with the faith & visions I already had in thought! I’ve been working almost a year strong for myself! I haven’t looked back! Every blessing from my city is appreciated / whether they buy or share my pics of food in there Instagram stories! We have long days & long orders now that we have built customers from the Ground up. I’m so grateful to have my partner Joceking as the driver! He gets the plates to each person speedy & on time! The feedback always make me smile to know that they got their plate & it’s on time & they are literally diving in soon as it touch their hands! I cook everything! With the wisdom of my Grandma Thelma & lesson she taught me in the kitchen I’ve took it & used my talent to share with the city of Nola! Oh Baby we love Goodt seasoned food! So it’s my duty to serve it all! Fish plates / Tacos/ crab plates / seafood pasta plates/ Rib plates / it ain’t nothing that Jazzy can’t do when it comes to working her wrist! I make happen! & love doing it!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Yes it has been a smooth road only because I believe what’s for me will be & if it’s not meant I won’t pressure it I believe in keeping calm & letting God lead my path ! I couldn’t do none of this without prayer! My every morning routine before I sleep and when my feet hit the floor!

I cook from Home & I enjoy serving my people! I’m really like the Neighborhood cook! I didn’t start this naming myself a chef because I believe that being from New Orleans is just special it’s self & I wanted to be known for Just cooking Good food that fills the soul! My brand started from 10 customers to 40 & 50 plates a day through the week! I had to trust the process ‘! Faith got me here!
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I was taking a risk when I walked off my job at the shoe store in the mall, & it was the best Risk I could take I refused to let my talent slip away from me I was determined to boss up to give my kids Harmony Lacey & Saint Phillips a better lifestyle, & that was to live life & not have to worry about being without when you have to be in need!
