Today we’d like to introduce you to Victor Escalante.
Hi Victor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started out working as an industrial sales executive and I was always fascinated by the mind and the art of influence. This led me to study the up-and-coming field of Neuro-Linguistics. So in 1994, I was a newbie practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and I wanted to help a friend overcome a personal emotional trauma she had just experienced. She had consulted medical and psychological experts, yet the problem persisted.
After doing an intervention, I learned in my training, in less than 15 minutes, she felt immediate relief. That led to my immersion in this new field, getting several certifications and eventually becoming a trainer. Since then, I’ve just about seen it all, having worked for over a decade in the Texas Criminal Justice System working with offenders on probation. I’ve become an expert in doing remedial work eliminating phobias, fear of public speaking, imposter syndrome, and many other limitations. Long-term change work is generative and that requires complete re-engineering of a person’s mindset to deal with their past and position themselves for greater success. In my experience, people don’t want to spend a fortune and years in psychotherapy. Who has time for that? People want to change yesterday. Identifying the need for a tailor-made training program for men, my co-facilitator, Simon Martinez and I, created the “Numen Breakthrough Program.” A unique approach that combines spirituality, masculinity, personal development and accountability. Both Simon and I have been where many men find themselves lost and feeling that they should be further ahead in life than they are. We are both voracious readers and we have spent a significant amount of money and time in personal development. We can relate to every obstacle facing most men in their personal, business, or family life. Numen is the distillation of decades of life experience and a specific skill set that we believe every man in Houston needs.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
COVID presented a challenge to in-person trainings and coaching. However, we took all the cautionary steps and grew faster during the pandemic. We digitized one-on-one consultations and came up with creative solutions to avoid sacrificing clients’ results. The current marketplace is very noisy with all kinds of life coaches who often take a short online course and hit the web running with promises they can’t deliver. As principal trainer, I can assure one that we offer the most comprehensive NLP-based training and coaching in Houston. We get referrals from physicians and psychotherapists from all over the country due the trust they place in our commitment to deliver value and results.
We’ve been impressed with Escalante Training & Consulting, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
In 1996, I was a keynote speaker at the International Association of Near-Death Studies conference held in San Antonio. I presented my work of helping near-death survivors re-integrate into this world after crossing over and being clinically dead.
