Today we’d like to introduce you to Alondra Lara.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
This goes way back to when I was about 13 years old. As an immigrant parents’ daughter, I was able to see the struggles my parents were facing trying to receive the help everyone deserves. Owning a home here in the United States, especially here in Houston, one of the largest cities in the nation, is part of the American Dream. Since then, the memory and excitement of my parents finally owning a home through many years of challenges has stuck to me. Therefore, I promised myself and them that as soon as I graduated high school, I would pursue my career as a Realtor. Homeownership plays one of the greatest and most prioritized roles as adults.
Currently, I am brokered by Innova Realty, one of the newest and most uprising brokerages here in Houston, TX. Being mindful of the fact that everyone deserves the most help and guidance, I have been able to help many families. As realtors, we have to prioritize our client’s best interests. Keeping myself educated on a daily basis and networking with many successful and mature people in the industry, I have been able to refine my business and help ameliorate Houstonian’s living standards.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Of course, nothing great comes in easy! It’s like they say. Anything that comes in easy can easily go away. Life itself has many roadblocks along the way to overcome. Rejection and being underestimated due to my age has been frequently seen throughout my journey. Being young doesn’t necessarily mean we are naïve in the business, it’s also understanding that we are newly updated, informed, and educated on the market and real estate itself.
As the days pass, and I continue to flourish, the less I hear it, but it’s all part of the growing process. However, in moments like those, is when we have to quickly realize that letting the downfalls get to us negatively, we will never grow. In this industry, deals may also fall through but nothing wrong with a fresh restart. At least we now know what works and what doesn’t, and we can use that as a learning experience in future deals. Remember, you either win or you learn, but we never lose!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a licensed real estate agent in Houston and its surrounding areas, my focus is to offer my help and guidance to everyone in my city to achieve their real estate needs. I take real estate beyond its simple definition, which is helping others buy or sell. Real estate to me is more than just that. It is building relationships as that is the key and being authentic. It’s also realizing that as you are helping your clients, you are leading them into the place they will create lifetime memories in, and all I want for them is to start off their experience in the right path. Buying and selling is a HUGE transaction and of high importance. I would really say I am most known for my patience. I understand that finding the right home is not so easy. You can’t just randomly pick a house here. So really, I always let my clients know beforehand that in the home shopping process, how long the process takes really depends on when they find the one they hope to call home one day. Choosing a home or deciding to sell can be very heart-warming or heart-breaking, so letting them decide on their own time is very valuable.
Keeping open and active communication not only through social media but directly with my clients is my way of setting apart. As I mentioned before, I keep myself educated as I believe it is very fundamental and noteworthy to my clients. They always appreciate when I post my random educational videos as they know I am trying to keep them educated along with me as well!
I am most proud of how far I have gotten in a little less than two years! I have been thriving to make a name for myself in this Real Estate industry. Constantly learning, posting content, sharing flyers, sending postcards, making videos, volunteering, and networking are only a few of all the things I do to let my city know who I am. Being invited to attend grand openings, networking events and being asked to promote other businesses are my way of knowing that as a person, I have been influential and notable to others. Our city is constantly growing and never sleeps! Houston has so much living potential and giving everyone a top and next-level experience is my aim!
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
The real estate industry has allowed me to find myself and what I’m called for! The friendships I have made throughout my journey have probably been more combined than what I had before! Helping and building relationships is what I live for.
