Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Peters.
Hi Courtney, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My parents are both in real estate, and I was inspired growing up watching my mom work with her residential clients and also watching my dad grow his successful commercial business. When I graduated from college, I began a career in media sales but quickly got the “itch” to follow in my parent’s footsteps. I got my real estate license and my mom and I started out flipping homes together while I was also still working in media. However, I quickly realized how passionate I was when I was working the deal and moved my focus over to representing buyers and sellers.
My background and knowledge of remodeling have been very helpful to me in helping my clients navigate through their inspection period or if they are looking for ideas to put their personal touch on their new home. I think my clients see that as an added value that I bring to the table when they are ready to buy or sell their homes. The growth of my business has been mostly dependent on referrals, and I feel that I have been able to be successful because of my background. I owe all of my success to my wonderful clients who continue to recommend me to their family and friends!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The most challenging part of becoming a real estate agent for me was that first year. I found it difficult to get people to want to work with you on one of the biggest sales/purchases they will ever make when you have little experience. I feel lucky to have gotten some wonderful clients that first year who trusted me to do the job for them and started recommending me to their peers. Now, I work as hard as I can to give my people the best customer service and advice I can so they keep coming to me for their buying and selling needs!

I am a real estate professional with a background in remodeling. I am known for having an eye for special ways my clients can make changes to homes in order to create their vision. I work with a lot of homebuyers who want to find a “fixer-upper”, but don’t know where to start. I thrive on helping them find a house in a neighborhood they love and then helping them envision what it could become. I am most proud of the fact that I am an independent agent who has had family as my mentors, and I have grown a successful business on my own.
What does success mean to you?
To me, success is the fulfillment I get when I help my clients reach their goals. I feel the most successful when I have navigated through a tough transaction and when I see my clients smiling and happy at the closing table. It is so heartwarming to help people find homes where they will make memories and live their everyday lives. When my people are happy, then I am happy, and that is a success!
