Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendall Benson.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
We started Neverbeenkissedbyk in December 2020. I was going to school virtually and my mom came up with the idea to start a small lipgloss business to promote confidence within kids and also to teach me responsibilities such as marketing and accounting techniques.
We started with 4 glosses and a few bath bombs and have since expanded to glosses, balms, scrubs, bath bombs and Jewlery.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It was not always smooth sailing. Some days I wanted to quit and got very discouraged because sales were slow. As a kid who believes so much in her products it’s kind of hard for me to understand why I’m not selling out. We just started researching to learn more about marketing our products and how to grow our brand on social media to help drive sales.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a 10-year-old entrepreneur with a big dream, I’m building a brand and I’m just getting started. It started as a small lipgloss business but I have a huge vision. It’s not easy being a kid in 2021, all of the pressures from your peers from social media to look and act a certain way. I want kids of all colors shapes and sizes to feel confident and fabulous in my products. We want your lipgloss and confidence to be POPPIN’. We provide quality affordable products for girls to enjoy. We specialize in all-natural vegan cruelty-free lip gloss with high shine and a nonsticky feel.
I am most proud of how far we have come and how far we have grown. Also how we have improved, there has been a lot of trial and error.
Our products set us apart. They are trendy, unique, bold, eye-catching, head-turning and of great quality. It’s a whole experience when you receive a package from us.
What were you like growing up?
I was a bold energetic kid growing up. Very outspoken and loved arts and crafts.
