Today we’d like to introduce you to Kade Jenkins.
Hi Kade, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My wife and I have always loved traveling to cities and going to local, craft coffee shops. When 2020 hit, we found ourselves stuck at home, not being able to do our previous jobs to full capacity. With all of the free time, we started dreaming about what it would look like to bring good, specialty coffee to our hometown instead of always traveling upwards of an hour to get some. Through a chain of events, and an outfitted coffee trailer being given to us, our dream quickly became a reality.
We went all in and started dedicating all our time and money into learning about the craft and art of making coffee. We hope that people leave Wilderlove Coffee feeling a sense of community and seeing how much we care about coffee and our little town!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Honestly, we didn’t realize how much politics can be involved in small towns and running a small business, and that has been our biggest struggle. Having food trucks and trailers is a fairly newer concept in our area of town and new things can sometimes seem scary for some, but we are hoping to continue to partner with the city to pave the way for these types of small businesses. We hope the city has been blessed by our presence.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wilderlove Coffee is a specialty coffee trailer serving high-quality espresso and cold brew with care and excellence. We believe our sustainably sourced coffee beans make all of our drinks top notch. All of our syrups are created and handcrafted by us to compliment the flavor profile of our unique blend of beans. We also use eco-friendly products in an effort to do our part in reducing waste. We strive to be excellent in everything we do.
We can do something as simple and classic as an americano or cortado, or we can make you something fun like a lavender oat milk latte or our new “Not a P.S.L” latte off of our seasonal fall menu. Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Everyone has their own opinions of what is best for your business. Do the research, but in the end, do what you love and commit to it! If you have a firm vision and a commitment to doing your best, you will succeed!
