Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Luna.
Hi Rachel, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I had too many jobs before I got myself into the title side of real estate. Then, years ago, I was allowed to work with a Houston-based homebuilder right out of college. I was a number one salesperson for this builder and got inducted into million-dollar clubs. I got rewarded many accolades, and that opened opportunities for me.
An opportunity knocked on my door from the title company doing the title business for this builder. As one of the top salespersons regarding numbers, and closings, they offered me to come to title. After that, the rest was history.
Working with that homebuilder was a ticket that brought me to the title industry. With my performance and the amassed experience I had, I managed to pave my way to where I am now through referrals, networking, and social media. I managed to garner massive clients that became my foundation right now.
My story is made up of tough adventures, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There is no smooth road to success. I must admit that there were few challenges I faced that made me who I am today, and that includes the rough road I need to take the way back to my younger years. Growing up with nothing much in my hand and starting a business from scratch is already a challenge. And as I planned everything out, it ignited something in me: to strive harder than everyone else.
Other than starting a business from scratch, keeping up with a fast-paced industry was the biggest struggle I ever had. The years of working in the title industry were never easy, not to mention a woman competing with others who were beasts when it comes to business made me stumble a hundred times. But you got to fall seven times and stand up eight to learn and improve. So I guess gaining confidence and throwing your self-doubt out of the window was the biggest challenge I faced, but once I recovered from the fall, composed myself, and stand firmly than ever, I realized it was my biggest accomplishment.
Overcoming it made me who I am today. I am now standing tall and proud to meet new faces in the same industry as me.
We’ve been impressed with Patriot Title, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Patriot Title is a Houston title company that focuses on knowing our client’s needs and wants. It is serving in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and El Paso. The core value of our company is to put our clients first, walk them through the closing process, educate them, and give them the best title closing they will experience.
As the Patriot Title Agency Executive, I want to provide a title company where our customers will feel comfortable closing their deals with the help of our well-seasoned and professional team. As I build my brand, I specialize in “title,” coined as the “Texas Title Queen” in Texas. In the title industry, you need to stand out for others to remember you. What sets me apart from others is the time and effort I am willing to give to our clients. As a result, I do not just close deals, but I build long-lasting relationships.
I am still working my way to the top, and I want others to know me as a manifestation of a person who works hard and makes impossible things possible. In addition, I want my team and I to leave a long-lasting impression as a team that will go through lengths for their clients.
What were you like growing up?
I am a goal-getter, the type of goal-getter who is always ready to take the risk, and I have to thank my Grandma for that.
She has a huge and soft spot in my heart, and she’s one of my inspirations for turning out to be who I am today.
As I grew up, she was the one who told me to “live life on your terms” and to start moving forward, and to stop listening to what other people have to say. And ever since then, that’s what I have been doing. Taking risks, going beyond my limits, and just giving it my all.
I am very spontaneous and love to socialize with other people. I am a workaholic, and I love to spend my time checking and doing reruns on the paperwork, even at night. It interests me to know new faces and share inspiring stories with them.
That’s it! That’s my version of growing up both as young Rachel, and as the person I am today.
