Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Meadows Chapman.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My business was founded out of a need for a better work-life for a single mom with kids. Even though my kids are older and I am now married that has not changed. The flexible remote work schedule with a kid and animal-friendly co-work office has benefited all of my employees.
We firmly believe that your job can be a joy and that your work environment, mental health, and family are just as important as our client’s work. I am not willing to sacrifice one for the other. I imagine as my employees grow and start families of their own that this will be a huge benefit to them to have the same flexibility I made for myself and my kids so many years ago.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There isn’t a lot of support for female business owners out there and specifically not single mothers or mothers starting businesses. There is a lot to learn in your first couple of years in business. Having a good support network as I do with the American Business Women’s Association through local leagues like the Conroe Innovative Women In Business league I was able to overcome some of the challenges that are specific to mothers starting and running businesses. I was supported by so many women who have already been there and who were going through it alongside me.

Meadows Resources specializes in Human Resources, Recruiting, and Staffing Administration, Consulting, and Management. We service clients all over the world and locally in the greater Houston area. What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I have lived in the Houston area since I was three and I absolutely love all the shopping and dining that are available to us as Houstonians. We have a truly friendly and unique background and offering that makes us one of the most attractive cities not only to visit but to live in. It is one of the best places in the country to raise a family.
