Today we’d like to introduce you to Samantha Loesch.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
High school was just the beginning of me dabbling in makeup. I did my friend’s makeup for events like prom, homecoming, and senior photos when I was a junior/ senior in high school. Once I graduated, instead of going to a 4-year college like most of my friends, I decided to put all of my time and energy into the beauty industry. I worked hard to get experience under my belt with different photographers, events, and clients. I started teaching makeup and product knowledge in 2015 for Sorme Cosmetics and The MUA Project which opened so many doors for traveling!
By 2019, I had traveled to places such as Canada, Virginia, Mississippi, Florida, New Orleans, Nashville, Lithuania, Spain, Thailand, and all over Texas sharing my love for makeup. Over the years my passion for makeup has grown exponentially and in return, my clients and team have also grown! I rebranded my company to Polished Makeup & Hair and went from a 1 person show in 2010 to an amazing team of 10 artists on my team in 2021!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I look back on the past 11 years, it honestly seems like a dream. Time really does fly when you are doing what you love. Makeup has taken me on adventures of my wildest imagination! But, that doesn’t mean everything was all sunshine and rainbows. In the years of hustling and finding my niche, I couldn’t help but compare my work to others in my industry, which in return made me feel like I wasn’t as good an artist as I thought. It made me wonder why I couldn’t do a certain style of makeup well (like a dramatic cut crease) but as the years went by I started to understand that everyone has their own style, I just needed to find my signature style and run with it. Being an entrepreneur comes with working more hours than your typical 9-5 and sometimes feeling misunderstood by the people around you but helping women feel confident and beautiful far outweighs any struggles I may have experienced.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Our team is best known for our natural-looking airbrush makeup applications and our exquisite customer service. We don’t want our clients to feel like a totally different person when looking in the mirror. Our goal is for you to feel like a more polished version of yourself by bringing out your best features all while giving you an amazing experience and confidence boost you won’t forget.
I am proud to have grown my team to an amazing group of 10 artists that share the same passion for beauty, women empowerment, and confidence as I do. Secondly, I am so proud to have set a goal for myself 11 years ago to travel the world for makeup artistry and have achieved that goal! That just goes to show, even though others might tell you you’re incapable of something, if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
Growing up, sports were a huge part of my life. My parents were Olympic Archers in the early 2000s, so I grew up shooting archery basically since I could walk! I also played a ton of golf, tennis, and soccer in my younger years. I had absolutely no idea I would get into the beauty industry until my junior year in high school.
